Once you’ve got a price quote that you can work with, it’s time to have the contractor come out to do a walkthrough of your kitchen. During this walkthrough, you’ll be able to talk about your kitchen design. They can even give you a few pointers that will help make the remodel meet your expectations.
That doesn’t mean you have to follow their advice. Decide on what you need. Are your countertops too narrow for you to really get your meal prep done?
Do you need to expand your kitchen around your growing family? Do you need new plumbing? Is the paint on your cabinets beginning to chip?
Once you’ve figured out what you need and don’t need, you can choose your overall design. You can go more modern with geometric patterns and metal accents or go with a more traditional Victorian look.
